I’m thinking of building a simple gazebo like frame around my back patio. I live in a climate of extremes–very cold winters and very hot summers, plus a fair amount of rain. So, the question is, what kind of wood would be best for this kind of project? Could I get away with slightly cheaper wood if I coated it with something myself?

As you may know, Gazebo Blend is only available in the summer. It is my absolute favorite coffee, so the lack of availabilty sucks. If anyone knows a similar coffee, will you please let me know? Thank you!!
Just thought you should know I use it for hot brewed coffee only.

We just installed a gazebo with netting on our patio. It looks great but we noticed that the wind picks up the bottom of the netting and blows it inward/outward. The netting is hanging like a shower curtain, on rings that can be slid. It won’t be very effective if the bugs can get in from the bottom.
